Learn more at www.arbysfoundation.org Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Florida go to Tallahassee for Children’s Week Local children’s one-to-one mentoring agency visited state Representatives and senators this week to thank them for support of the pre-k thru 12 allocations line item that supports the local Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Florida “Littles for Literacy” school based mentoring program that exists in Collier County school grades k-8. Agency CEO Michele Guptill also met with Senator Garrett Richter. They met with Representative Paige Kreegle’s team to share an annual report boasting sound fiscal health with a 11% administrative fee for the BBBS agency and impactful outcomes from services provided. The hospitality and long time support by these legislators of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of SWFL agency has allowed an increase in mentoring services for 37% more children in the last 7 years that the “Littles for Literacy” program has existed.  Representative Matt Hudson took time from his busy schedule and brought the BBBS team to the floor for a rare tour and photo opportunity, introducing then to many of his co representatives.
